Elephant print everything.

Velvet jacket: Charity shop
Shirt: Vintage
Suede bag: My mums
Elephant skirt: WAISTE vintage (coming soon!)
Concho belt: Vintage
Rings: Vintage and Tentative decisions
Cowboy Boots: ASOS (on sale)
Hat: Ebay

I was in two minds as to whether to show you this outfit, as this skirt (well similar) isn't available to buy from my website WAISTE yet and I'm always wary about releasing my designs without being able to buy, but it will be very soon! What do you think? Elephant print everything I say. We've just shot an AMAZING dreamy vintage shoot (if I do say so myself) on Monday, and I can't wait to show you the images and product. it's handpicked and I basically want to keep it all, which is always a good sign!

I wore this to travel to the Isle of Wight yesterday to spend a relaxing long bank hoiday weekend with my boyfriends family, as we both felt we needed to get out of London as soon as possible. It can get a bit intense sometimes. I'm feeling like I'm slipping into AW already, and I'm full on planning my AW witchy magical wardrobe. I went charity shop shopping today and I think I hit the jackpot, I've never been so successful in one go! I even managed to find a sheer maxi cover up covered in moons and stars! Tada....maybe I should start doing you tube hauls...

Not knowing what to call items of clothing.

 Fluffy bag: ASOS (last year)
Dress: Vintage
Black sleeveless sheer maxi: Vintage
Shoes: Carboot
Necklaces: WAISTE
Rings: Vintage and Tentative Decisions

I really love the combination of sheer maxi cover ups with dresses at the moment, so much so that most times I don't feel like my outfit is complete without one. It's funny how both of these pieces of clothing I didn't wear once last year, now I can't get enough of them. I love the colours and the print on this dress, and I admit I actually just threw the sheer black maxi waistcoat thing on as an afterthought the other day, but I love the way it looks (especially with what I think is the best fluffy bag in the world). Seriously though, what do I call it? I think I've named it three different things in this post alone, what is the right 'fashion' term for it, I don't know.

I feel like this outfit is very reflective of the cooler weather we've been having, but I still love the fact I don't have to wear tights. I'm a big fan of layering so I'm not complaining that the sun has disappeared! This is the perfect weather for what I always long to wear.

Apologies, for the quietness on the blog this week, I've been very busy at WAISTE HQ, and we've got a very exciting vintage shoot happening tomorrow, so remember to follow @waiste_clothing on instagram for sneak peeks and behind the scenes from the shoot!

The things you find in the back of your wardrobe.

 Dress: Gift
Velvet jacket: Charity Shop
Boots: Carboot
Necklace: WAISTE (coming soon)
Sunglasses: ASOS

I found this little velvet beaut at the back of my wardrobe the other day, I'm not even sure what it is, but it's my new fave throw on jacket, and perfect for AW. It's funny how you can see your clothes in a different way, I bought it as a dress last year, and could never find the right occasion to wear it. It just looked a bit weird and shapeless, but not in a good way. But I couldn't give it away, I would never give unusual velvet away!

Then in a rush to meet my Nana and Grandad on Monday, and in an act of desperation to find something to cover my tattoos, I reached in the back of the wardrobe and touched this and threw it on. It was perfect. The sleeves, the velvetness, the pattern, I've never seen anything like it! I much prefer it like this to a dress too.

King of the Jungle

Boots: Jeffrey Campbell via Ebay
Lace Kimono: Carboot
Bag: Vintage
Watch: Michael Kors
Sunglasses: ASOS (old)

The babes over at Out and About showroom very kindly sent out this MinkPink King of the Jungle dress out to me and 9 other bloggers this week, so we could style it up to coincide with the AMAZING competition Urban Outfitters and Out and About are running at the moment. You could be in with a chance to win £500 worth of MinkPink amazingness in a shopping spree at UO! All you need to do is enter your details to be in with a chance HERE! This dress is from their new collection, which you can now shop at UO here, and they've also got FREE delivery on MP orders over £60 at the moment too! Pretty awesome!

If you've been reading my blog for a while now you'll know how much of a massive fan of MinkPink I am....ok, it's seriously my favourite brand ever. I've never met a piece of MinkPink I didn't like. So you can imagine my excitement when I received this little beaut! It's one of my fave pieces from the new collection, I love the colour, and it's in the perfect signature MP dress shape too. I thought it looked awesome with my new lace kimono (which I've been searching for like everywhere) that I picked up from the carboot the other week. £4 well spent I think. And who says leopard print cant go with (actual) leopard print? These boots were totally made for this dress.

Velvet and Tassels

Fringe Kimono: c/o So In Fashion
Velvet mini dress: Vintage
Bag: Vintage
Boots: Jeffrey Campbell via eBay
Hat: Miss Selfridge
Necklaces: eBay and WAISTE

I absolutely love this cute fringe kimono the babes over at So in Fashion sent to me, it has so many tassles on it, and with all the cute embroidery on it, I feel like this could almost be a vintage piece! I love it with my favourite velvet vintage dress, but I think it would look perfect thrown over one of my vintage band tees too. I love the fact the sleeves are tassled, the more tassels the better in my opinion, and of course I've spent the whole day swinging my arms around.

Please say hello to my brand new super cheap JC ebay leopard print boots! I'm so happy with these, you know when you've been searching for something for so long, then all of a sudden they come up in your saved searches on ebay and you have a little scream, then set your alarm riduculously early to bid on them, because of course they end at silly o'clock in the morning. Then you win! They're a slightly lower heel/platform than the other JC leopard boots, which makes them a perfect day boot, and perfect for AW. I know I know, I've already starting thinking about it, now I can't stop. Someone just pass me a trend  guide already.
