Happy Holidays

Sheepskin scarf: ASOS
Fringe Jacket: Charity Shop
Dress and Crochet: Vintage
Boots: Ash
Ring: Tentative Decisions

So....basically I had a big plan over Christmas to come home and wear loads of outfits and get loads of outfit pictures done, and what happened? I forgot my camera battery charger. I've ordered a cheap one off ebay, which hasn't arrived yet due to Christmas post, so here's some (slightly blurry as it was cold, dark and raining) pictures of an outfit I wore the weekend before Christmas instead. Which I totally forgot to post anyway.

To be honest, being home and all snuggly and Christmassy, and the weather being all cold and wet and windy, I'm secretly glad I have another excuse not to get dressed this holiday unless absolutely necessary. I hope everyone had a lovely Christmas and got to spend time with their loved ones! I'm still at home enjoying mine.

PS: How awesome is this fringe jacket I got for £10 from an IOW charity shop a couple of months ago? Dream jacket.

Velvet and Tassels

Velvet Maxi: Charity shop then DIYed
Boots: Ash
Belt: Vintage

I'm in love with this dress. I've had it in the wardrobe for about a year and never worn it, there was always something 'not quite right' about the way it looked and I could never put my finger on what it was. However, the other day I had a total brainwave to add the front splits ala THIS perfect for Love and Lemons dress I've been lusting after (but too pricey), and now it's one is my new fave.

I treated myself to these beautiful black suede boots from Ash via UO  with a cheeky discount code a few weeks ago as an early Christmas present and they haven't left my feet since. They're the perfect little everyday boot and they go with everything. And of course had to keep this beautiful shawl I found when vintage handpicking for my store the other week, I've been hunting for the perfect oversized crochet tassle cardigan (which doesn't seem to exist) and this is the perfect substitute.

Almost Famous.

Top: Waiste
Skirt: Brooklyn Flea Market
Gilet: Topshop
Cardigan: Charity Shop

Taking photographs in my bedroom because it's too dark and cold outside. I do wish I had some form of photography skills to make these turn out better but unfortunately I don't, so these will do have to do. I love this outfit so much I wore it three times and never blogged it, so here it is. I'm not feeling much effort getting dressed at the moment, nothing is seeming to go with anything? so when I find something I'm sticking to it.

However, I'm really trying to see all my clothes in a different light and pair things together with things I wouldn't usually, instead of having the usual 'I have nothing to wear tantrum'. I'm just seriously lacking in inspiration at the moment? I mean, there's only so many times I can watch Almost Famous...

COW Vintage- Website Relaunch!

All Clothing: COW Vintage
Styled by me!

I'm so excited to finally be able to share with you these images from the shoot I styled and modelled for COW vintage a few weeks ago.

I was lucky enough to be chosen by COW as the first in a series of posts featuring bloggers for their brand new 'bloggers choice' section, on their newly relaunched website!

I was invited to their Manchester store to style up a few vintage outfits, have a mini photoshoot and be interviewed for their blog! Anyone who knows me, or who has even just read my blog will know how much of a fan I am of vintage, so this was a dream come true for me, being allowed to pick out anything I wanted in store to try on and make outfits with! The stock room was literally like my idea of heaven, I could have happily spent all day there trying things on and discovering hidden treasures.

I wanted to keep to my style when choosing the outfits, and thought they all have a boho, 60s vibe to them. This is when I found my dream coat! I thought I'd do lots of layering, clashing and matching patterns, and accessorise with cowboy boots, concho belts and boho bags to keep to my usual style.

I'm really excited about their new website, as it's a lot cleaner, brighter and way easier to navigate, and there's so much more to read and get inspiration from, the blog, trends and inspiration pages are brilliant! Also, as I live in London and don't get to visit any of the COW stores very often as they are up north, they have such a good vintage selection online, which not many vintage companies tend to do, so I can get my fix easily, and without leaving the house. They've got so much good stuff on there at the moment too!

Have a peek at the new website HERE, shop similar pieces that I chose HERE, and read my interview with the babe behind the brand Helen HERE. Let me know what you think! And make sure you follow them on twitter HERE and instagram @wearecow <3

Wishlist: Boot Edition

From Top: Lace Up Boots: Free People, Black Fringe: Sam Edelman, Leather and Suede Boots: H by Hudson, Embellished Boots: Free People, Knee High Boots: Hobbs, Beige Boots: NW3 Hobbs, Black Suede: Sam Edelman, Beige Cowboy Ankle Boots:  NW3 Hobbs, Black and Suede: NW3 Hobbs.

Just a few boot types I'm loving at the moment. I really like the mix of black leather and suede on a boot, and a wooden heel makes it a little bit more interesting. You can never go wrong with a buckle or two either. As I said in my previous post I want to start investing in some well made good quality boots, so thought I'd put together this wishlist.

I love the idea of a beige suede boot or cowboy boot as an alternative to a black boot, which is all I seem to be buying at the moment. I've been lusting after all the boots on Free People at the moment, especially the ones above, however they are a little out of my price range right before Christmas, as are all the Sam Edelmans. Hobbs actually have some great womens boots in at the moment, they're ticking all the boxes for me in the type of style I'm looking for, and they've got a sale on at the moment too. Going to be putting a few of these on my Christmas list!

Review: Ash Boots

Metallic Piombo Biker Boots: Ash Footwear *
Gilet: Topshop
Metallic Cardigan and Bag: COW Vintage*
Dress: Charity Shop
Jewellery: Tentative Decisions* and Waiste

This is my first product review on here! I usually don't do posts like this, but when one of my favourite shoe brands Ash offered to send me a pair of their boots, I thought this would be the perfect kind of post. If you haven't heard of Ash they are an Italian footwear brand, established in 2000, they make high quality leather boots and trainers, and are known for their biker and cowboy boots. Sold in my fave places ASOS and Urban Outfitters, and in shops all over the world, and loved by consumers and celebrities alike (I know Vanessa Hudgens has a few pairs!)

I was offered a choice of three pairs from the website and thought I'd go with these metallic biker boots, as I thought they were the most 'me'. I don't know about you, but recently I've been wanting to invest in good quality shoes and boots, and want something that will last for years now, rather than just buy cheap shoes that I know will break or I won't like in a few weeks.

These were a perfect fit, they run true to size and are of the best quality, which is definitely what you want when you're paying a lot of money for boots. Super comfortable, I wore these all day and my feet didn't hurt at all as I didn't need to break them in. They just slip on too easy peasy, no need to do any zips or fastenings.  I thought they went really well with this outfit too, and gave it a bit of an edge, and I loved pairing metallic with metallic.

I think they're going to look amazing when they're all worn too-I can definitely see these being my festival staple boot. They're perfect to grunge up a babydoll dress or worn with some denim cut-offs. In fact I love Ash boots so much, I took advantage of a cheeky discount code on UO a few weeks ago and bought their jalouse cowboy boots in black. Naughty!

What do you think of Ash?
