✰ Missguided Maxi Style Challenge: From Day to Night ✰

Day Outfit

 Kimono: Missguided*
Maxi Dress: Missguided*
Jewellery: Delilah Dust*

I hate wearing shoes. Any excuse not to, I just don't like them, half the time I can never find ones I like/they're too expensive/they only go with one outfit, I'd really just much prefer to run around barefoot all the time and feel the earth beneath my feet, but unfortunately living in London that's actually a really bad idea. I'll settle for being barefoot in my flat instead. I chose to go with a lace kimono for the day look, I love maxi with maxi, and I love how maxi this lace kimono is, too many maxi's in one sentence then.

It's kinda half getting there with decorating, there's still a long way to go though, and doesn't help I keep changing my mind every five minutes about the decor, but at the moment I'm happy with it so far. Just wish I'd found a crochet Aquarius star sign picture instead of Cancer at the car boot, incase you were wondering why that was there, I just thought it was kind of cool anyway.

Night Outfit

Jacket: Missguided*
Maxi Dress: Missguided*
Boots: Jeffrey Campbell (old)
Belt and Hat: Vintage

For the night outfit, I thought I'd belt it up and throw a fringe jacket over it of course, kinda giving it more of a rock and roll vibe. I originally layered this with the kimono underneath too and I love how that looked with the lace and the fringe, but then I remembered I'm meant to be showing you how versatile maxi dresses can be, not layering everything together.

I love maxi's anyway, there're seriously so easy to wear and throw on for the day and the evening, I've got a whole wardrobe of maxi and midi dresses, I'm OBSESSED. I highly recommend them. I'm not even joking, I kind of wish I was. Maybe one day I'll blog a wardrobe favourite post or something.

PS: Herschy wanted to say hello...

  2. I love how you styled the maxi dress from day to a night outfit. I love how the print pops out whether you paired it with a white kimono or the black fringe jacket.

  10. I bought this dress the other day as I fell in love with the print. You wear it so well. It's so long on me and always drags on the floor/I'm forever tripping up over it! Also the slit is very sassy don't you think? Nearly revealed my knickers a few times. I love the day look with the white lace cardi - so beautiful!
