Bank Holiday Blues

:: Waistcoat :: We are Cow*
:: Jeans :: American Eagle Outfitters*
:: Top and Belt :: Waiste Vintage
:: Boots :: Bertie

I swear it needs to be Bank Holiday Monday every Monday, although this week has been pretty amazing weather wise. Summer is that you? The sun was shining, it was the perfect weather to wander around the carboot and head to the pub. This outfit kind of happened by accident, We are Cow sent me some amazing vintage bits and I couldn't wait to try them on over what I was wearing, and actually thought this waistcoat went pretty perfectly. I do love a good waistcoat. I've been living in these American Eagle jeans recently, they're just such a good fit and the colour of them means they pretty much go with everything. Speaking of denim, I've been looking for some dungarees for ages, I wanted some vintage ones (of course) originally, but didn't realise just how hard it is to find a pair that wasn't massive. So I've just ordered these flared beauties from Greek brand Nidodileda, who I'm working with soon too. Love their boho pieces!

❈ Lost in a Daydream ❈

:: Dress :: Vintage
:: Necklace :: Waiste Vintage
:: Sandals :: Ash*

I'm literally in love with this dress. It's just so dreamy, with the pattern and the layers and the sheerness. I found it at a vintage fair but I can't remember the sellers name now, typical. Totally inappropriate for a walk in the park but who cares. I need someone to invite me somewhere fancy so I can wear this dress properly, I was vaguely thinking about taking it to IOW festival as I'm not camping (perks of having a boyfriend from IOW yay) however I know I will get drunk and probably trip over it and ruin it, so maybe best not to. I feel like it's finally starting to feel warm enough to be wearing sandals too, I've been after these from Ash for ages, and they give this dreamy dress more of a rock and roll edge.

♢ Off White ♢

:: Shawl :: Waiste Vintage
:: Playsuit :: Somedays Lovin
:: Amethyst Necklace :: BCP*
:: Boots :: Topshop via Ebay

Kinda cowgirl vibes in this little cream ensemble. Forever wishing I was in a desert. I really, really want a cream hat to complete the look, but I can't seem to find a decent one in the UK. I'm kinda going through an sort of an 'off phase' with blogging at the moment (sorry) which is typical as I've actually got a few outfit posts lined up for this week already which never happens.

Maybe it's because I've been too organised, I'm usually a leave everything til the last minute-all my best ideas come at midnight the night before-kinda girl. I am just feeling a little fed up and uninspired, I feel like everything is looking the same at the moment?(yawn) and so it's just like I can't be bothered to have the motivation. I do hate feeling like this though, like I've lost my creativity, but it usually sorts itself out sooner rather than later, I think I just need to shake things up a little bit. Holiday? haha. No, really. I've been wearing this beautiful ameythst necklace by BCP jewellery a lot recently, which is definitely helping me keep calm and not too stressed.

☽ Bohemia ☾

:: Embroidered Peasant Top :: Vintage
:: Suede Skirt :: Waiste Vintage
:: Bag :: Bohemia*
:: Boots :: Bertie

I absolutely love my new nomadic traveller pouch from Bohemia, it's so lovely, not only is this beauty hand made in Morocco but it is also big enough to hold all my junk I insist on carrying around everywhere. This is a very important specification when it comes to choosing a new bag. The detail on it is beautiful. I find it so hard to find bags I love, so I'm glad I stumbled across Bohemia through instagram, where else? Having two insta accounts (three if you include the one I made for my, ahem, cat but never update) I spend a lot of time well spent wasted on there, but I do love it when I discover new inspirations and brands. And, if you hadn't noticed, my obsession with anything vintage and embroidered is still going strong, but there's nothing new there. I'm not ashamed to admit that one of my wardrobes is full of the stuff now. When I really love something, I become addicted to it.

❀ Pretty in Pink ❀

:: Dress, Sunglasses and Bag :: Vintage
:: Necklace :: NF x Waiste collab
:: Boots :: Bertie
:: Moon Ring :: Tentative Decisions

I found this little vintage floral beauty (along with a few other naughty purchases) just this morning when I popped out to the East London vintage fair, and loved it so much I immediately decided to put it on as soon as I got home. I've been obsessed with peach, dusky pink and turquoise hues recently. The weather was beautiful today, we had a lovely stroll around Clapton and Chatsworth road, stopping for a crepe date at Creperie du Monde, and then made some sweet potato cakes for tea.

It's been a struggle of a week personally for me so it was lovely to get out of the flat and feel more like a person again. I'm a very private person so when it comes to what I struggle with almost daily with myself, what I've dealt with in the past, and what I'm still dealing with, I find it extremely hard to talk to anyone. But for the first time in my life I opened up to a friend who is going through a similar situation, and it really helped so much, and it made me realise that I'm not alone in all this. I know what I have will never go away, but I've realised it's how I can deal with it that matters.
