These were taken on one of those rare winter days where the sun actually came out for more than five minutes. Sometimes if I didn't know better I swear the sky just turns grey in winter, it forgets how to be blue, and it's so difficult to shoot when we get about 4 hours of sunlight a day, less if its raining. Ok I might be exaggerating slightly but it is just so frustrating! And did I mention the cold and the fact these black tights are totally ruining this outfit? ARGH. I will stop moaning now. Or consider moving country.

How amazingly dreamy is this lace jacket? I can't wait until it gets warmer and I can wear it over a t-shirt or summer dress. Wolf and Moon have the best vintage, (everything's better in America) just look at this and this! daydreaming about buying it all.

❈❈❈ Merry Christmas! ❈❈❈

Merry Christmas! Just a quick little post today. I hope you all had a lovely day yesterday (and didn't eat too much chocolate). I hope you got to spend it with the ones you love, and thinking about those who aren't here anymore but are always still with us. Christmas can be a tough one.

I'm not going to lie I am currently still sat in my pyjamas writing this, as I didn't have a holiday this year I'm making the most of all this time off! I thought this outfit above was a lovely nod towards Christmas and feeling festive whilst still being myself. I did dress as a Christmas fairy yesterday though, because when else is a better time too?

As much as I wish this could have been shot in the desert in America, it can't, so the streets of London will just have to serve as my background instead. I kinda do feel like they strike the right contrast though. I feel like this outfit has some real christmassy cowboy vibes to it. I find it best when I don't think too much about what to wear, like for example I found these two velvet tops looked great together when I put them on a coat hanger together to hang them up as I ran out and viola , an outfit was born.

Me and Eliza accidentally picked the coldest windiest day to shoot blog outfits, but of course it was the only day of that week that it hadn't rained so you know, silver linings and all that. Honestly, if you could see the actual reality behind some of these blog shoots, getting blown away, get changed ducking down by a random car etc, the joys of being a part time blogger haha. Maybe I should do a behind the scenes. I do love styling and doing shoots though, my favourite way to feel creative, just wish it was warmer here to do them more often!

I'm taking Christmas off for my vintage store (yay)I haven't had a holiday all year so I thought it was time for a much needed break. Of course you can still shop here and they'll be new products arriving on Saturday 2nd Jan, but taking the time off from that means I can finally focus on things I need to do, like blogging etc which I have so many posts to share and now have the time to really put something into it. Although who I am kidding I will be in my pjs eating chocolate for breakfast most days. Because CHRISTMAS. I really need to stop using that excuse for everything.

❁ Quant ❁

I've been hoarding up blog posts recently as I've been so ridiculously busy. I'm heading home on Saturday (cannot wait) for two weeks for a much needed break and I know I'll be too lazy and full of chocolate to be shooting there, so I've got lots of great posts coming up.  This was shot a couple of weeks ago and I can't believe how much the colours of the outfit coincidentally complimented the surroundings colours
.
I was kindly given these amazing Mary Quant burgundy/wine cord trousers by Dominique as a thank you for my review on the East London Vintage Fair and I couldn't believe they fit me so well, so so happy with them they're not too short-which is always usually the case with me and vintage trousers. This gorgeous shirt from Ark looks as though it could be vintage too, I'm in love with the pattern and the colours. I'm really trying to stay away from all black this winter as it's so easy to fall into that trap when it's all cold and dark and grey outside, and instead going for chocolate brown, rust, burgundy, rose, taupe and tan shades. Or I'm trying anyway.
