Hello and welcome to day number two of my four part ‘shopping small businesses this Christmas’ series, and welcome to the jewellery edition. Now, I’m not going to lie, I wish I could have been organised enough to have started these in November, but here we are. Better late than never ? I’ve decided to write them daily as I know the last posting dates are looming. And I think you can pretty much guess from what I just wrote then that I haven’t started my Christmas shopping yet. I really am the least organised person ever-I am very last minute, almost too last minute sometimes. But anyway enough about me and more about the amazing jewellery brands…

Elena Corolina

Amsterdam based Elena Corolina’s tagline is: ‘because everyone deserves pearls’. And I for one couldn’t agree more. I have these pair of earrings from her already, which barely leave my ears, I love them so much- and I’m sorry but pearls just go with everything. They’ve just brought out those gorgeous shell earrings (above right) and how perfect are the initial pearls for a Christmas gift? Dear Santa, please bring me some more pearls from Elena for Christmas! Of course they are all handmade and she can even make you your very own dream piece.

Nostalgic Feather

Effortlessly cool handmade jewellery brand Nostalgic Feather takes inspiration from nostalgic memories and makes unique pieces to treasure alongside those memories. A beautiful mix of clashing metals and trinkets using precious and semi precious stones, these beautiful pieces are just made for layering. Rock and roll with a bohemian edge, their new Bali collection is absolutely beautiful and full of shells (my favourite) – I’m a massive fan.

Designer Button Jewellery

One of the coolest jewellery brands I’ve stumbled across this year, Designer button jewellery repurposes genuine designer buttons and charms and turns them into the most incredible jewellery (and accessory) pieces. There is a designer for everyone. My favourite of course is Chanel, and this is such an affordable way to own some genuine Chanel that has been repurposed into something quite special.

Margaux Studios

Some more pearly goodness now in the form of deliciously girly but absolutely beautiful jewellery brand Margaux Studios. A classically romantic modern jewellery brand whose main focus is beautiful pearls. Handcrafted and sustainably made to order, only the finest materials are sourced to make the jewellery. I cannot tell you how much I love this brand. Also, all their packaging is fully recyclable too.

Anneliese Jewellery

Such a pretty and affordable bohemian jewellery brand, Anneliese is a boho girls dream. All their pieces are handcrafted from either 18ct gold vermeil or sterling silver 925, with their chunky gold hoops and chains being my absolute favourite. And their aesthetically perfect instagram has me desperate to go on an adventure, wearing all Anneliese of course. The perfect wanderlust brand.

The Manchester based brand Bloma has some of the cutest vintage inspired jewellery (and accessories) around! Vintage inspired colourful pieces that actually look good enough to eat, but maybe don’t try that, I just love the vintage coloured beads that they use. Bloma uses either vintage, second hand and deadstock beads to create wearable (and very affordable fyi) works of art.

Mathe is your go to place for quirky but oh so cool eclectic jewellery. An ethically made, female run jewellery brand from Greece that is absolutely chock full of the coolest jewellery. They mix metals with pearls and beads effortlessly to create original unique pieces inspired by Greek summers. All the pieces are handmade to order in Greece by the two sisters. Ok now I want to go on holiday to Greece and drape myself in Mathe.

Mikaela Lyons

Mikaela Lyons is a beautiful handmade ethical jewellery brand based in the UK, who not only creates beautiful and timeless jewellery, but also plants a tree for every sale. Her main permanent collection focuses on identity with the lioness pieces inspired by her family name. All of Mikaela’s pieces can be personalised, which I absolutely love, and all her pieces are individually hallmarked with her own unique maker’s stamp. I have a couple of Mikaela’s piece which i will treasure forever.
