Now I don’t know about you but I’ve seen this mini trend popping up more and more recently everywhere I look and I absolutely love it. Party Trousers I like to call them – I would say pants but it doesn’t feel right being British to call them that, or even jazzy trousers if you like – in all different colours, prints, patterns and textures -just worn as everyday trousers. And they are so fun ! I’ve seen them all over instagram at the moment.
To be honest I’m just absolutely loving how colourful and fun fashion seems to be at the moment, even if we don’t have anywhere special to wear it (well we willl hopefully soon) it’s just really mood uplifting to see ! These gorgeous trousers above are made to order from Hayley Scanlan, and they’re a collaboration between her and Kelsey Mae Greigs who designed the amazing floral print, they’re the perfect trousers for Spring. The brands that keep popping up again and again on instagram I’ve seen are anything by Lisa Says Gah, Hosbjerg and THOSE sparkly Saks Potts ones (I want the light pink ones so bad !) I’ll take a pair of all of the below please!

Hello me again, bringing you a Wednesday wishlist on a Thursday again. But Thursday Wishlist really doesn’t have the same ring to it does it… ANYWAY. I am sorry about being a day late but will anyone really notice my defence it’s because I have completely lost track of the days this lockdown, everyday is really groundhog day at the moment. But it is GETTING WARMER (fish/slightly) and the sun has been out nearly all week here in Brighton. I bet I’ve jinxed that now. As you can see this weeks wishlist is another cute and colourful one because I feel like fun playful outfits are really the way to go now to brighten up this lockdown !
I must confess I have actually purchased the below Prada sandals already after about a year of deliberation and they are arriving tomorrow ! I AM SO EXCITED. The ‘dad’ sandals are definitely sticking around for another year for sure. I’ve got my eye on some Chanel ones so I had better start saving ! How cute is the Olivia Rubin loungewear set but the way, all my favourite colours and just so fun. That vintage cardigan is an absolute dream too, as are those Zimmermann flares. Pink are now my preference too-and those Gucci ones below (ok I already own those but had to put them on here) are on sale right now too. Happy Spring Shopping !
Wow ! What a beautiful sunny day it was when Sophie and I shot these a couple of weeks ago. It really truly felt like Spring and it made me realise how much I had forgotten what it was like after all these miserable cold months. I’ve not been leaving the flat a lot recently. Then of course, two days later it was -2 and snowing. But that little window of hope on this day I’ve not forgotten and it’s reminded me that the way I’m feeling and the way it is right now isn’t forever. Too deep for a Thursday? I’m clinging onto that hope anyway.
Right let’s talk about the dress shall we ? The patchwork trend is very much alive and well at the moment and I’ve seen it all over instagram recently (and I’ve been lusting after a lot of very expensive patchwork jackets) so I thought this dress was the easiest way to delve into this trend. But believe me I’ve loved patchwork for a very long time so I’m happy it’s getting a revival !
This particular dress is by sustainable woman owned brand Kristinit, and boy is it a good one. If dresses aren’t you thing, this patchwork print also comes in the from of a top and skirt , trousers and even a jacket! So whichever way you like you can get your patchwork fix. What’s also great about Kristinit is they employ woman owned collectives all over the world, and their items are preorder and custom made to eliminate any unnecessary waste. We love to see it.
The beautiful pink colours in the dress mean that it goes perfectly with my new fluffy pink handmade from new brand Loueo. If you follow me on instagram you’ll have seen me gushing over it ! I’m obsessed ! Who knew a fluffy pink bag could go with…well just about everything in my wardrobe !
This incredible bag comes in three different colours, black, beige and pink, and of course I had to go for the pink. Also to note: pink is set to become a BIG trend this Spring/Summer and a pink bag is a perfect way to add a cute pop of pink colour to your outfit. Overall a pretty amazing dress and bag, by two pretty amazing brands ! I can’t wait to wear this outfit on repeat when it gets (and stays) warmer. I’ve been compiling a pretty cute Spring wardrobe and I’m just desperate to wear it properly. To places other than Big Tesco.
Whoops ! Posting this on a Thursday (well ten past midnight so I missed out by ten minutes) because I have basically lost track of the days at this point. Sick of the cold and the grey and judging by this wishlist-dreaming about Spring! I’ve just been in the flat with the heating on pretending we are there already. Yes this lockdown is making me loose the plot but it’s too cold to even be outside at the moment. My three favourite colours seem to be pink lilac and green at the moment and I’ve been lusting after that Prada headband forever. Next on my list ! I’ve ordered a pale pink one from Etsy (I would link it but it was a one off ) to see if I suit these kind of headbands before I invest !
Hello! I am back on this blogging bandwagon and I am determined to stay on it. Ok so jumping right in with it, I spent A LOT of time on my phone in 2020. (as I’m sure a lot of you have!) and with that endless hours of scrolling came the inevitable overthinking and comparing myself to others and in turn feeling bad about myself. In doing so I feel like both my confidence and my style kind of got a little ‘lost’ towards the end of last year as looking back I could see I started wearing and trying to shoot photos I thought would ‘do well’ instead of being true to me, and trying trends that weren’t really my style. I’ve decided that this year I think maybe we should stop starting resolutions at the start of the year when it’s cold and miserable haha (or at all let’s not be too hard on ourselves this year for heavens sakes we don’t need any unnecessary pressure in 2021 it’s bad enough as it is!) but I do think one thing I want to stick to this year is being true to myself and my style.
So I wanted to share with you some colours that make me feel happy and outfits I feel good in, I’ve been drawn to lots of colour (and gingham) recently and they are really brightening up these moody miserable lockdown months. My style has definitely evolved and changed since last year, and these are my favourites.
Pink on pink. My name is Sara and I am obsessed with pink. There I said it. If you follow me on Instagram then you’ll know ! So I finally got my hands on a La Veste gingham shirt when it came back in stock briefly after lusting after it for the majority of last year (however I sadly got stung with the new Brexit customs charges as I waited to long) but honestly, this shirt is definitely worth it. Worn with my beloved baby pink Zara flares I found second hand on eBay and with my gold Gucci shoes, I can’t wait to wear this when we are allowed out. And minus 4567 layers of course.
Baby blue. I’ve gone from avoiding blue at all costs to wanting a wardrobe filled with baby blue pieces. What can I say, maybe it’s because it reminds me of the summer blue skies I’m craving? This Ganni horse print on baby blue maxi dress was THE dress I was lusting after-and I finally managed to find one on Depop. Worth checking religiously as both the mini and maxi are sold out everywhere now. Cannot WAIT to wear this without the polo neck and with some chunky sandals when the weather gets warmer.
Lilac ! My love for lilac knows no bounds. Haha. It’s another colour that makes me feel happy and it’s an instant mood boaster for me. I’m just loving the tonal outfits too ! This outfit is from ethical brand Vjera V and all the beads on the jumper are hand sewn on-it’s like a work of art! I’ve linked the jumper here, and the lilac gingham (oh yes double points for this skirt being BOTH lilac and gingham) here.
Green (and Lilac. Preferably together.) There’s just something about this combination I just cannot get enough of ! This green vintage cardigan is absolutely amazing, I’ve never come across a vintage knit like it, I could not resist keeping it when we went vintage buying last year. And the collar is from Delphi Eva, she actually named it after me too so I’m just over the moon about that as it’s so me !
So there we have it, the colours and outfits that are making me happy so far this year, I’ve decided no more dark colours and I’m filling my wardrobe with colour !
